The Dynamic Duo Rule: At least one female player required per team. Let's make it happen!
A schedule of the game times and pools is at the bottom of this page. The schedule is subject to change based on number of teams
Each net will host a pool of teams in the same age bracket. The number of teams in a pool will depend on the total number of teams registered
Teams will be able to choose their net/pool from the available slots at registration. First come, first serve.
Teams will complete a round of Pool Play against the other teams at their net, which consist of 2 sets against each opponent (1 Game)
Switch sides between sets
Each set will be to 25 points, win by 2 (score cap of 27), or up to the established time limit per game
Rally Scoring
When the time cap is reached, the point is finished and the game ends at that score. If there is a tie, the next point is played
Playoffs will be 1 set to 25, win by 2 (score cap of 27)
Single elimination playoffs
Working teams will ref. They will record scores and call switch for playoff games(at 15 points)
Disputes: Please bring disputes to the registration table.
PLEASE respect all ref calls. Teams can ask for rule clarifications, but the refs make the calls and have final say (unless overruled by an organizer).
Sets over the net are allowed as long as shoulders are square to the net and the set is clean.
ALL net touches result in loss of point.
No open-hand tips (you can swing, roll it, knuckle poke, or bump, but cannot push/have your fingertips guide the ball).
Teams must be ready to start at match time. 2 minute courtesy after start time for each round. After that, there is a 1 point penalty per minute (the round must still finish on time).
If a team is not ready to start 10 minutes after the start time, the first game is forfeited. If they are not ready to start within 20 minutes, both games in that round are forfeited.
Let serves are not allowed. Point will be awarded to the receiving team
